WinScp is an free scp replacement if you are using Windows. Putty is a free ssh replacement on Windows. Both allow you to save sessions for easy connecting to servers by session name instead of by IP.
Well, guess what, you can import all the saved sessions from Putty to WinScp. Here’s how. And it works!

A long time ago i wrote about how much i hate flash sites. I still do. The situation is even worst now. There are some sites with demand that i upgrade my flash player. I am not always able to do so. I almost never want to. If you create a flash-only site, u should at least provide some text information when flash player is not available. Let me correct myself, do not create such sites!.
Here’s how a site of a modumobile looks (which is supposed to be cooooool startup). How can i trust such a company, if it cannot even create a normal website?
Not long ago i wrote about smiley theme for psi i created from pidgin’s theme. I’ve put the file on rapidshare in order to easily count the downloads. I got 4, one of them was myself . I got no feedbacks so far.. is it that good or that bad?
BTW, Arch Linux changed it’s logo, it’s on the right side of this blog somewhere.

I started using psi recently. psi uses jisp format for specifying it’s emoticons and other icon themes. Not happy with themes i found, i converted pidgin emoticons theme i had to psi format. Download and try it, comments are very appreciated.
I did nothing besides converting the format, all the copyrights belong to pidgin theme creators.

Recently, due to security reasons, all kind of ports were closed at my workplace which made impossible to connect to gtalk and icq servers. I used pidgin because i could not find stable jabber transports, which was connected to icq, msn, and jabber networks - to be able to contact both people at work and friends. I couldn’t do it any longer 
.
Since Internet browsing works, there are at least two ports open - 80 (http) and 443 (https). Which means i need ed to find jabber server which allows to connect on those ports. And it was easy enough - thanks to Australian jabber.org.au. It allows connections on port 443.
So, pick your favorite jabber client, register on site above and use jabber transports to connect to msn/icq/etc. Do not forget to set the port manually to 443.

I got a new phone, and i decided to pay to my cellular provider for wap access. I mainly wanted to have jabber access from the phone to see how is it to be always online… Well, there are a lot of J2ME open source jabber clients, but i need one that works over http… jimm does it, but it’s ICQ only. Talkonaut works great, but i really prefer open source application if i can find one.
Suggestions?

After my bad experience with zoto, I decided to switch to picasa web albums. The only inconvenient thing about those was lack of possibilities to upload pictures conveniently (from command line). Now this issue is covered. Several options are listed in this post, I used upload2picasa script and it works great.
