Hello ArchLinux, goodbye Mandriva

Yes, i moved. mandriva is out and ArchLinux is in. I’ve been using mandrake (then mandriva) for more than two years, and that was my first linux distribution i used without ms-windows in parallel. It’s very user friendly and has all kinds of nice graphical configuration tools. It’s number 2 on distrowatch.
With time, i learned more and i felt that complicated scripts mandriva has in order to make life easier for newbies are not what i want. I looked for a simple distribution which will have convenient package management and (once again) simple configuration. I believe ArchLinux is the one. Currently, it looks lighter and faster, however the configuration is not finished yet.
